Unknown

Ok so, I actually did see Unknown on Friday and I got to say, it was fairly good. It was a little more mild than I would have hoped for it to be, but it held my attention nonetheless. The plot revolves around a Doctor of botany or something like that and then he loses his memory and....ah just watch the trailer.

There you go the premise is pretty straightforward. Or at least it seems that way. Without giving anything away, the movie takes a few twists only found in an M. Night Shyamalan. Except this movie doesn't suck and it makes sense, unlike a Shyamalan film. The final resolution didn't leave me flabbergasted, but it was an interesting finally. The twist was a little obvious to me, as it was the only solution that would make the movie make sense. The film is only PG-13 so the amount of action was a little disappointing, but it held my attention.

Liam Neeson (Shindler's List) does his name justice by playing Dr. Martin Harris, the main character. Neeson also manages to grab the sympathies of the audience members with his sad-sack act. Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon) plays a sinister, although brief, villain. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants a good action thriller. It won't win any Oscars, but it is still a fun watch.

  1. This movie looks so goooood! I really want to see it when it comes out. I saw an interview with him on Ellen DeGeneres and I just think he is such an incredible actor.
