Get Him to the Greek

Starring Katy Perry's Hubby Russell Brand as "Aldous Snow", a famous British rockstar whose career went down the drain after his AFRICAN CHILD album and also his marriage with Jacky-Q ended. Superbad's own Jonah Hill known as "Aaron Green" is sent by his boss P.Diddy "Sergio Roma" to go to London and bring back Aldous to perform at the Greek for his ten year anniversary and possible comeback. After struggling with keeping Aldous on track with airplane flights and presentations due to his addiction to narcotics, alcohol, and sex, Aaron himself becomes persuaded by Aldous' Rock-n-Roll lifestyle and is lured into many misfortunes.

I watched this movie with my sister and we were constantly laughing. I had no idea who Russell Brand was till he hosted the VMA's about two years ago and began to hear his name when he was paired up with "I Kissed A Girl" Katy Perry. When I found out he was coming out in Get Him to the Greek, I knew the movie was going to be hilarious because he was a good comedic host at the VMAs. Also, after Jonah Hill in Superbad I knew that him and Brand would be a perfect comedic double team and I was not disappointed.

If you want to laugh, and also get a glimpse of not only the glamorous lifestyle of a Rockstar but also see the toll a drug/alcohol/sex addiction has on these stars. Movie is almost all laughs, but there are serious moments in there. So grab some of your friends and prepare to be entertained.

  1. One of my favorite movies. I literally watched this last night with a few of my buddies. Seth Green and Russel brand played awesome. I could not stop laughing the entire movie. A few of my favorite scenes: when Aaron has to sneeze with the drugs in his...well you know; when Aaron got stabbed in the heart with the adrenaline needle; and when he has his scene with Destiny. Those made me laugh so hard.

  2. I LOVE this movie!!! It is kind of a sequal to "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" where Aldous Snow plays his usual douchey rocker who likes his own reflection more than anything else. I love this movie because it is SO FUNNY when they party and the threesome scene. The message is cool that even famous people are lonely and spiral out of control. It is worth watching for the inappropriate humor alone and I like Russel Brand and P. Diddy (who has a suprising=ly goofy role)...I like this blog's movie pick!

  3. This movie is hillarious! Not only does it make you tear up laughing, but it shows you how hard the life of an artist or even anyone living in current day society could be. You see how the drugs and fame had affected his life. And how he Aldous had become numb to society. Great movie.
